The specific requirements may vary depending on the employer and the state in which you aim to live and work in. But before you can even begin the application process, you will need to meet the basic criteria required of all nurses applying for employment in the US. These are:

1. You must have a degree from an accredited Registered Nursing program 

2. You must have a current Registered Nursing license in your country

3. You must have at least two years of full-time work experience as a Registered Nurse in a healthcare facility

Universal Staffing has partnered with several local hospitals to benefit the nurses with employment in their facility. This helps nurses to fulfill one of the 3 essential requirements before one could apply for a job in the US – “must have at least two years of full-time work experience as a registered nurse in a healthcare facility.”

 

Providence Hospital

Providence Hospital opened in November 2014. It is led by doctors and administrators who have had a broad local and international hospital management experience. It is a Level II, 78-bed general hospital that provides the following services:

  • heart care services (cardiac catheterization laboratory)
  • kidney transplant
  • hock-wave kidney stone treatment (lithotripsy)
  • out-patient chemotherapy

 

Located in Quezon City, Providence Hospital manages most significant diseases as well as less common medical conditions. Its medical staff includes 700 doctors from various specialties and subspecialties. In-patients are cared for 24 hours a day by hospitalists from five major specialties: 

  1. Internal Medicine
  2. Surgery
  3. Anesthesiology
  4. Pediatrics
  5. Obstetrics and Gynecology
  6. Emergency Medicine

The hospital carries the most up-to-date diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, including:

  • digitally computerized tomography (CT) scan and x-ray machines
  • 3D mammogram
  • breast ultrasound
  • 4D OBGyne ultrasound
  • state-of-the-art laparoscopic units
  • Intensive Care (ICU) and Coronary Care units

The blood bank is capable of receiving and processing blood from donors to fill patients’ transfusion requirements. Its laboratory can perform automated immunohistochemistry staining.

The hospital makes every effort to ensure that its doctors are continuously learning. Members of staff keep themselves up to date with the latest medical knowledge, through active participation in medical symposiums here and abroad. Physicians also actively participate in medical research studies, in which their results and findings are often cited and published in medical journals.

St. Clare’s Hospital and Nursery was founded by Dr. Dionisio P. Lirio, D.M.D. and Engr. Leopoldo C. Del Rosario in January 1972. The name of the hospital was derived from St. Clare’s Hospital in Schenectady. It is a prestigious hospital in New York City, where Dr. Lirio’s two sons, namely Ricardo and Oscar, did their extensive medical training in the fields of Surgery. 

In 1987, it was renamed to St. Clare’s Medical Center and subsequently became “Incorporated” in 2000 and has remained so to this day. St. Clare’s Medical Center, Inc. (SCMC) is considered as one of Makati’s premiere hospitals. 

SCMC offers a wide range of Medical and Healthcare Services:

  • Surgical
  • Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • Internal Medicine
  • Pediatrics

The hospital has obtained the following classifications from the Department of Health (DOH)  and Bureau of Health Facilities and Services (BHFS):

  • Level 3 – Diagnostic X-ray services
