Supervises, monitors and controls various Central Plant processes while on shift, to ensure all
Central Plant operations are carried-out, implemented and completed in a safe manner and in
accordance with the Qatar Foundation applications & procedures. Involves, participates in the
start –up and shutdown of all types of rotating equipment such as Primary, Secondary and
Tertiary pumps of chilled water circulation system. Commissions, de-commissions cooling
water towers and Chillers. Monitors various readings, samples, tests to check the water and
chemical quality of the fire, irrigation, drinking and chilled circulation systems. Involves in
trouble shooting alarms and problems. Controls the maintenance, constructions and project
works and all types of contractors in the Central Plant. Ensures the safe and efficient work
completion with minimum delay when the rotating equipment is down. Carries-out regular
checks and tests on safety equipment and procedures and continuously reviews material
requirements. Monitors all electrical, mechanical and HVAC maintenance throughout the
Central Plant by means of a Computerized Building Control Management System
(CBCMS).

At least 10 years of varied maintenance and operational experience in refinery plants or
oil/gas stations or similar facilities with exposure to large HVAC installations. The
incumbent should have a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience. An aptitude and
exposure to Programmable Logic Controls is desirable. Completion of Secondary (12 years)
education followed by 4 years degree in Electrical, Instrumentation OR Mechanical
Engineering is a requirement.
Good knowledge of English, (both written and understanding technical manuals) is essential.
He must be very familiar with the use of the computer and its applications.
